» 2010 Inaugural Beginners' Tournament Held at Kenshikan on 14/03/2010, UMKC hosted the first kendo tournament for novice kendshi in Victoria. To qualify, beginners must have been practicing kendo for less than one year and not previously competed. A total of 14 competitors from three different clubs entered the event.

» 2009 Australian Kendo Championships Held over the Easter weekend in Adelaide. UMKC represented by Kenji Sugimoto, Andrew Lam and Kevin Chin in the Victorian Open Team and by Russell Tran in the Victorian Kyu Grade Team. » MUSA Blues Presentation Awards & Dinner Friday 3rd April at Eden Bayview Hotel. Kevin Chin awarded Full Blue, UMKC awarded Best Club for 2008. » 1st Kyu - 3rd Dan Grading Held at Kenshikan, 29/03/2009. UMKC Team A (Russell Tran, Avi Ganesan, Kenji Sugimoto) placed 3rd. » Australian University Games Held October 1st, Victoria University, Footscray Park Campus. Alex Lee - 3rd Place Kyu Individual, Kevin Chin - 2nd Open Individual and Green and Gold. Kyu Teams Event - UMKC first place. Open Teams Event - UMKC first place. Overall Kendo Champions - UMKC.
